Supertri Launches Athlete Advisory Group

Post thumbnail description

Supertri can today announce the launch of its Athlete Advisory Group (AAG), with a host of world class triathletes providing Supertri with advice and guidance on issues which affect athletes and the wider ecosystem of the sport.

The AAG will play a key role in helping Supertri promote the sport of triathlon, identifying areas for future innovation and identifying growth opportunities across the sport.

In addition, the AAG will also offer Supertri’s executive team feedback and ideas to help continue to grow the professional triathlon ecosystem, Supertri’s elite level offering and to support the careers of world class athletes.

The founding members of the AAG are:

  • 3 x Olympic medallist Jonny Brownlee

  • Supertri E 2024 World Champion Chase McQueen

  • 2 x Supertri League event winner Jeanne Lehair

  • Supertri Toulouse 2024 winner Vasco Vilaça

  • Up and coming Dutch star Barbara De Koning

An additional female athlete will be confirmed soon.

AAG member Chase McQueen said: “I am really delighted to have this opportunity to help establish an Athlete Advisory Group at Supertri. Supertri has been great for athletes and provided us with incredible opportunities. This is our chance to give back by being an even more integral part of Supertri so together we can make our racing even better, ensure elite level athletes that come in the future are in an even better position than we are, and also to contribute to Supertri’s efforts to grow our sport more widely, which is something we are all so passionate about.”

Supertri Communications Director Adam Leitch, who will chair the AAG’s meetings, said: “One of the most incredible things about Supertri is the family atmosphere that is created by the staff and athletes. We are all united in our desire to grow triathlon, both to give elite level performers the biggest and best stage on which. to perform and develop their careers, and also to inspire more people to get involved with our sport. Creating an Athlete Advisory Group is a long held ambition and I am excited to see the positive impact this will have in the years ahead.”
