Powering the Next Evolution of Triathlon: Supertri E and Our Game-Changing Partnership with MyWhoosh

By Michael D’Hulst, Co-Founder and CEO, Supertri
Supertri E is breaking boundaries. Through our continued collaboration with World Triathlon, the event has been recognised with multiple innovation awards, featured in the IOC’s Olympic Esports Week, and held World Championship status for several seasons.
In 2025, we entered a new phase. For the first time, MyWhoosh powered the Supertri E World Triathlon Championship, marking a major step forward in broadcast quality, in-venue experience, and real-time data. We introduced a tougher format — three continuous rounds of swim-bike-run — pushing athletes further, amplifying the pure power-driven nature of the racing, and delivering serious drama.
On the men’s side, we saw our first-ever sprint finish, with Maxime Hueber-Moosbrugger edging out reigning World Champion Chase McQueen. On the women’s side, a rematch of the Olympic podium played out between Cassandre Beaugrand and Beth Potter, with the Olympic Champion coming out on top.
But the real breakthrough is what this unlocks.
Supertri E isn’t replacing physical racing — it extends the sport to anytime, anywhere: in dense cities, extreme climates, or in the middle of the night. And with MyWhoosh’s platform free to access, it’s a powerful and accessible tool for global community-building. Athletes and fans can race the same courses as the pros, in the bespoke Supertri E world, unlock kits, and even ride alongside Olympic champions — like our recent live coffee ride with Jonny Brownlee.
This opens year-round racing, training, and talent development — scalable, inclusive, and connected.
With MyWhoosh and World Triathlon, we’re building the next chapter of the sport.
And this is just the beginning.
